Especially when we talk about countryside and when there’s need for a whole village manpower to unite in one cause. I was lucky enough to witness such event in one of Yunnan Bai minority villages last year. Having hidden from rain, I noticed gathering of people at one of the courtyards. At closer glimpse I realised that villagers were striving around wooden construction which was quickly gaining shape of a house. They welcomed me in and kindly allowed to photograph their work. It was fantastic thing to see the whole village united like a big family to build that house. Without advanced tools or very precise measurements. The work went so smooth and advanced so quickly that I was sure they were experienced builders and constructed many houses before. Watch the gallery below which documents a single afternoon of work from that village.
